Join the 2024 Graycliff Emerging Leaders Program (GEL)

GEL participants will have an opportunity to develop skills over the course of the four-session program in areas such as fundraising, nonprofit management, board development, community engagement, and networking. The GEL cohort of young professionals will become ambassadors for Graycliff in the community and help raise critical funds and general awareness, allowing us to advance our mission. The goal of the program is to raise visibility for our historic site and programming, as well as engage the next generation of leaders who will not only champion and support our organization, but the larger cultural community of WNY.

Tentative GEL 2024 Meeting Schedule:

  • Wednesday, March 13, 5:30-7:00pm (in person): Welcome Mixer and Tour of Graycliff

  • Monday, April 22, 5:30-7:00pm (in person): Fundraising Seminar- Downtown Buffalo (location TBD)

  • Wednesday, May 8, 5:30-7:00pm (in person): Board Seminar (location TBD)

  • Monday, June 3, 5:30-6:30pm (Zoom): check-in for event planning

  • Saturday, June 22 (in person): Graycliff Solstice Garden Party fundraising event ticketed event

  • Thursday, July 11, 5 – 8pm (in person): Opening Night of the Market at Graycliff and Mingle with Graycliff Board 

  • Thursday, September 12,  5:30-7:00pm (in person): Thank You Reception (location TBD)

  • Thursday, October 24, 5:30pm: Celebrate Graycliff fundraising event (Twentieth Century Club) ticketed event

 

2024 GEL Application

The Graycliff Emerging Leaders Program is ideal for those who are passionate about architecture and design, history, and community engagement. The right candidate will be enthusiastic and have a willingness to learn, meet new people, and be a vocal advocate for Frank Lloyd Wright’s Graycliff.

A limited number of slots are available. Though all are welcome, the suggested age range is 25-40.

GEL participants will be asked to fundraise a minimum of $500 toward one of two fundraising initiatives. Details will be covered in GEL sessions.
