Construction is now underway on our New Visitor Center, scheduled to open in 2026, aligning with the centennial anniversary of Frank Lloyd Wright’s 1926 design of Graycliff.
This essential project is possible because of generous support from various New York State entities and Governor Hochul, including the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), the New York Power Authority (NYPA), Empire State Development (ESD), and funding secured by the office of New York State Senator Sean M. Ryan. Erie County and Legislator John J. Mills have also generously supported the project along with private funding from The Walter E. Schmid Family Foundation, The Margaret L. Wendt Foundation, Thomas Hagen, East Hill Foundation, The M&T Charitable Foundation, The Baird Foundation, The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, and The Hooper Legacy Foundation, among others. Project financing provided by M&T Bank.
This is the recording of a live webinar event that happened on February 20, 2025. It offers an exclusive look into the creation of Graycliff’s new Visitor Center, where members of the design and construction teams share their vision and progress. In this presentation, they discussed the thoughtful design process, construction milestones, and showed how this new space enhances the visitor experience at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Graycliff. Presenters: Graycliff Executive Director Anna Kaplan, Basar Girit (SITU Studio), Matthew Meier (HHL Architects), and Joseph Akel (LeChase Construction)
